To celebrate and support local, independent crafters, artists and makers, four Chicago businesses, Sacred Art, Neighborly, Mint Home and Lillstreet Art Center, teamed up for a fun evening of craft activities & tasty craft brews. The party featured four DIY craft tutorials by local artists including lettering by Vichcraft, felted wool by Heart of an Astronaut, letterpress by Prairie Kate Creations, and weaving by KraeO Handmade.

|For over 40 years, Lillstreet Art Center has been bringing together a community of artists, offering classes in a variety of art forms for students of every age (0 – adult) and skill level (first-time artists to professional). It supports the arts through studio rentals, artist residencies, gallery exhibitions and an artisan shop of independent makers (now available online at www.lillstreetgallery.com). Lillstreet also offers a private event space, custom art parties and team-building events.
Lillstreet Art Center and Gallery is located at 4401 N Ravenswood Ave. For more information, visit Lillstreet.com.
|Sacred Art was founded in 2006 with the motto “Art Is Not A Luxury.” Art, as we see it, can be accessible to everyone, and we are here to bridge the gap between artists and clients. We can answer your questions about process and value, help you pick the perfect gift, assist you in choosing art for your collection, and find the right piece to bring a room together (or create a room around!).
We are strong supporters of shopping local and small. We put our money where our mouth is and work only with independent makers. We don’t discount prices or haggle; our artists deserve to set prices that return them a living wage. At Sacred Art you will find unique, quality work created by an independent maker – and that person is likely to be your neighbor!
Sacred Art is located at 4619 N Lincoln Ave. For more information, visit sacredartstore.com.
